Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Last updated: June 18, 2026

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Codable Studio website and the design and development services we provide. By using our site or engaging us for a project, you agree to these terms. Every project is also covered by a separate written proposal or agreement, which takes precedence if anything conflicts with this page.

01.Our services

Codable Studio provides web design, development, Shopify and custom builds, landing pages, and related maintenance and support. The exact scope, deliverables, timeline, and price for any engagement are defined in a written proposal or statement of work agreed by both parties.

Work outside the agreed scope may be quoted separately as additional work.

02.Quotes and proposals

Prices shown on our website are starting points for planning. A firm quote is provided after a consultation, based on your specific requirements. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

03.Payments

Unless agreed otherwise, projects begin with a deposit, with the balance invoiced at agreed milestones or on completion. Invoices are due within the period stated on the invoice. Late payments may pause work and incur reasonable fees.

Final files, deployment, or handover may be withheld until outstanding invoices are settled.

04.Client responsibilities

To keep your project on track, you agree to provide content, brand assets, feedback, and any required access in a timely manner. You confirm that anything you supply (text, images, logos, fonts, code) is owned by you or properly licensed, and does not infringe the rights of others.

05.Revisions and timelines

Each project includes a defined number of revision rounds as set out in the proposal. Timelines are estimates and depend on timely feedback and content from you. Delays in providing materials may move the launch date accordingly.

06.Intellectual property

On full payment, ownership of the final deliverables created specifically for your project transfers to you, except for third-party assets, open-source components, and any pre-existing tools or frameworks we use, which remain under their respective licences.

We may showcase the work in our portfolio and case studies unless you ask us in writing not to.

07.Third-party services

Projects often rely on third-party platforms and services (for example Shopify, hosting, plugins, and APIs). Their use is subject to their own terms and fees, which are your responsibility unless we agree otherwise. We are not liable for outages or changes in third-party services.

08.Warranties and support

We take pride in our work and will correct genuine defects in our deliverables for a reasonable period after launch, as described in your proposal. Beyond that, ongoing maintenance and changes are available under a support plan.

Except as expressly stated, services are provided “as is” without further warranties.

09.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from a project is limited to the fees paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or data.

10.Cancellation

Either party may end an engagement in writing. If you cancel, you remain responsible for work completed and costs incurred up to that point. Deposits are non-refundable once work has begun.

11.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted here with the “Last updated” date. Continued use of our site or services means you accept the latest version.
